Our Company History

Integrity and Quality - these are two words that have stood the test of time at Callahan & Peters, Inc. David Callahan, CR and Nicholas (Nick) A. Peters, CR have been working in the North Shore communities for over 30 years instilling integrity and quality into each project.

In 1946, Anthony Peters began a painting and decorating business that has evolved into the remodeling company that Callahan and Peters, Inc. is today. Anthony's son, Nick Peters, took over the business when Anthony retired and Nick's son, Dave Peters, joined his father in 1992. Over the years the focus of the company shifted from painting and decorating to remodeling with an emphasis on cabinet making and corian fabrication.

David Callahan joined the family in 1986 when he married Renata (Nick's sister). David had been working in the remodeling and construction industries in the Chicago area since 1970, and in 1986 David and Renata started their own remodeling company. In 1998 the two companies merged to become Callahan & Peters, Inc.

So it is with pride that we say our family's business has been serving the North Shore communities since 1946.
